GA 37-2. Policy

2.1

WVSOM will continue to educate and train competent and compassionate osteopathic health care professionals.

2.2

WVSOM will broaden its cadre of educational and co-curricular offerings in other health science fields such as public health and biomedical sciences that will complement the educational mission of the institution.

2.3

WVSOM will be a resource for integration of the osteopathic paradigm in medical education and allied health programs, nationally and internationally.

2.4

WVSOM will seek out and maintain collaborative partnerships with other educational institutions and in the private sector.

2.5

WVSOM students and graduates will be leaders in the osteopathic profession and in health care in the 21st Century.

Graduates of WVSOM degree programs will be competitive and valued in their chosen field.

WVSOM will maintain its heritage of a unified and family like community that will foster an environment that will attract and retain the highest quality students, faculty, and staff.

WVSOM will practice responsible financial stewardship and maintain an environmentally responsible campus.

WVSOM will expand its engagement and service to the community, state, nation, and world.

WVSOM will be engaged in health policy at local, state, and national levels.
