Third Year Timeline

June

• GME Department sends out ERAS Tokens
• Register ERAS Token at MYERAS®
• Revise and update CV. Start to work on personal statements & noteworthy characteristics. 

November-December

• GME Education day (mandatory attendance at SWC location)
• VSLO  access sent by GME office on the day of the education day meeting
• Register VLSO invitation expires in 28 days even if you think you will not use VSLO. (there is no charge until send application)
• WVSOM VSLO Application Process

January

• VSLO uploads the first wave of elective catalogs
• Start to apply through VSLO for elective rotations

February

• Transcripts are uploaded to VSLO as a student applies

March

• VSLO uploads Second wave of elective catalogs

April

• Search for residency programs (make a list)
  • (FREIDA)    
  • (ACGME)
  • Residency Explorer
  • ERAS participating programs list
• Write your personal statement and have colleges and advisors review it

May

• Begin setting up mandatory career advising session with GME office (must be completed before September 1st)

June

• MyERAS® opens to all applicants to begin entering residency application information First Monday of the month.
• ERAS Application Process for WVSOM
• Register for early match programs (e.g., San Francisco Match), if applicable
• Send Assistant Dean of GME your MSPE request form
• Military Students contact GME Program Coordinator
