The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine is situated in Lewisburg, WV. Unfortunately, there is no on-campus housing available for students. In case of any difficulty, students can contact Student Affairs for assistance. It is advised that students use their own judgment when evaluating a prospective rental unit or landlord/owner. WVSOM Students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Fair Housing Act, which can be found on the Housing and Urban Development website.

Most students move out of their apartments at the end of the two years of preclinical training and relocate. Students are expected to secure housing in the area of their assigned statewide campus location while completing years three and four of their medical school training.
If you have a family, you may choose to maintain your Lewisburg residence because your children are in the local school system or your spouse has a job in the local area.
To accommodate those students who have left their lodgings in Lewisburg but who must return to perform clinical rotations in the area, WVSOM maintains the WVSOM Rotation House which has eight beds, available at no rental cost to the student. Reservations must be made for these rooms through the Rotation House Reservation Form, your Statewide Campus Director.
