Research Interests

Currently, my lab is studying hippocampal neuronal damage following cerebral ischemia and various mechanism for neuroprotection. These interests including understanding how excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmission is altered following ischemia, investigating various methods to improve synaptic signaling for functional recovery, and identifying various pharmacological agents for neuroprotection.
