GP 12-2.  Policy

2.1

Graduate degrees at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (“WVSOM”) may be conferred on a candidate who:

2.1.1

has been in residence for the duration of the program;

2.1.2

has successfully completed all academic requirements as described in the handbook;

2.1.3

has demonstrated ethical, personal, and professional qualities deemed necessary for the continued successful study in health-related fields;

2.1.4

has satisfactorily discharged all financial obligations to the school;

2.1.5

has satisfactorily completed all requirements for graduation as attested to by the Graduate Academic Performance Committee, has been recommended by vote of the faculty on the graduate program committee, and approved by the WVSOM Board of Governors;

2.1.6

has participated in all required exit interviews and completed all required surveys; and

2.1.7

has completed all of the requirements set forth in this policy within two years of matriculation, inclusive of all time spent on any leave(s) of absence.
