About the WVSOM Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences

The Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MSBS) program is a two-semester, nine-month program designed to prepare students for future success in medical school or other health professions.

MSBS Curriculum

As an MSBS student, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to prepare for future studies in a variety of health professions by experiencing many of the same instructional environments used in our medical program. MSBS faculty are focused on student success and are invested in helping you learn in our medical school-level courses whose topics include:

  • Cell Biology, Genetics, and Biochemistry
  • Human Anatomy and Physiology
  • Food, Nutrition, and Diet Therapy
  • Exercise Science and Public Health
